About Us

My brother, 2 older sisters and I grew up on a 1,200 acre ranch in Central Texas (Leon County).  On the ranch, we bred and raised registered quarter horses and commercial cattle.  I always had barrel/ranch rodeo type horses and  later in life started riding/showing cutting horses.  In 2002 I won the World in the ACHA.  I used to break colts, but I have gotten too old  and fat for that. 

I learned a lot from my dad, Bob Moore.  My dad was an orginal cowboy.  He was the horse trainer and ranch manager for Caldwell Ranch.  My dad always sold and traded the horses we raised.  He always told us “Never lie about a horse, and always tell the good along with the bad.” 

My brother Billy Bob Moore followed in our fathers footsteps and trains cutters. Billy Bob still lives at the old home place and trains horses out of the old barn we were raised in.

I still breed and raise a few of my own.  I know what to look for in a horse, and that is what I try to capture in the horses I sell.  I take pride in all the horses I sell.  When you buy one from me, there are no hidden surprises. 

My late  stud Colonel Jesse James was an own son of Colonel Freckles and was an outstanding stallion and producer himself.  “Colonel” sired several World Champion Barrel and Pole horses.  He was  definitely one of those “once in a lifetime” horses.  I lost him in 2008 at the ripe old age of 25.
